Tonight, I played a recital with Jeremy Gill, piano, to benefit the Mercer Alliance To End Homelessness, an organization devoted to combatting this problem in Mercer County, NJ. We performed music of Vivaldi, Handel, Doppler, Bizet-Borne, and Debussy. I included Handel and Vivaldi in this program because both of them helped orphan and abandoned children: Handel at the London Foundling Hospital, and Vivaldi at the Ospedale della Pietà in Venice.
In addition to our performance, executive director Herb Levine spoke about the Alliance’s very important work.
I introduced Syrinx
With Jeremy Gill and Ruth Goldston, one of our hosts. We were at the Goldstons’ beautiful home in Princeton, NJ.
Thank you Mimi for a marvelous performance!
